Akai AM-U04 Fixing help

Hello! I am new the forum so greetings to all.

I have an Akai AM-U04 amplifier for about 6 years. 1 year ago the right channel started to have a crackling sound and also started to output no sound. I noticed that when switching the loudness swtich the channel output sometimes went back again. Some months after the channel died and I wasnt able to get any output back again so I decided to take it to a tech guy for repair. He told me that the STK3042 chip was faulty and also the STK0050II of the channel was shorted. He managed to get an original STK3042 that luckily he stored many years ago but he wasnt able to get any reliable STK0050II source to buy it. I decided to take a risk so I buy a fake one and installed it. The relays are not clicking now so Im not getting any output. I wanted to ask the following:

How can I check if the non original STK0050II is the responsable for the relays not clicking?

Could it be something else that could be damage and is avoiding the protection relays to click?
