Akai AP-100C has a hum noise on the left channel

Hello, I recently bought a second hand Akai AP-100C turntable from late 70s and it has this hum noise on the left channel when plugged into the phono of my receiver.
The ground cable from the turntable is connected to the ground of the receiver.

Can anyone suggest me what to check, please?

Thank you.

Swap the phono cables at the input on the receiver. Does the hum move to the right side?

Check the wires and connections at the headshell where the cartridge is mounted. Are they secure and in good condition?

Do you have another cartridge you could try, and what is in it now?

Thank you for the suggestions, 911s55.

Yes the headshell connections are properly connected and they look fine.
The cartridge is the original RS 100 and I have no other cartridge that I could try.
