AKAI AP-306 turntable

I purchased this AKAI AP- 306 a short while ago. I cleaned, serviced it , bought a new Audiospoon gold headshell with a Audio Technica VM95C cartridge and stylus. I'll be going to a Audio Technica polished chrome headshell with a Shibata cartridge and stylus soon. I purchased new hinges and a new clear acrylic dust cover. I have it run through my AKAI AA-1150 receiver and it sounds fantastic. This is the setup I had many years ago in the late 70s and early 80s as a teenager. Finally have another setup exactly as I had back then and found out what I had been missing out on for 46 years. Happy to have it and spinning my vintage vinyl again.

I have had several of the Akai AP-20x and 30x tables. They punch above their weight class and are very well built.

Careful cleaning it, the printing on Akai gear isn't quite as good as other 1970's brands. It can begin to flake off.
 
I use a mixture of distilled water and a drop of Dawn dish soap. I use a soft detail brush just dampened with the mixture to where it creates minimal suds and clean it that way careful to keep it out of the cracks and getting inside the turntable. I wipe it down with a damp microfiber towel then apply some Meguiars Hyper Dressing to the vinyl wrap. It seems to work pretty well.

I'm trying to find a tonearm queuing platform for another AKAI AP- 306. I believe the 206 is the exact same thing. I've looked and looked and can't find one anywhere.

I have several of the AP-20X/30X line of tables, I love refurbing them. I have one that is a donor table because it got beat up pretty bad during shipping and cracked the tonearm housing. I don't remember the exact model, but I can take a look the next time I have it out. It definitely still has the cueing bits.
