Hi!
I have been following the forum for a while, but at last I made myself an account. I have received an Akai AP207 auto Turntable, everything works great but the auto function. When leading in in 30 mode the arm barely moves before dropping down. And then, during manual playback the turntable engages the auto return function before the records is over.
I have already tweaked the small screws that the service manual talks about, but even if I move the screw all the way to the final position, the auto return engages. If I move the second screw, the auto lead in won't make any changes.
I'm guessing I'm dealing with some sort of petrified lube or something with the return system. This is my first refurb and it had gone well so far, but I'll be satisfied even if I'm "only" able to use the table using manual lead and out.
Any clues what to check? Has anybody had the same problem? Thanks!
