Akai CS-705D Light puses lightly when rewinding?

Hi there everyone,

When I try to rewind backwards on my Akai CS-705D Cassette Deck the lights on the VU meter and the light for the cassette seem to pulse on and off slightly and it also makes a slight pulse sound as u can hear the motor.

But when forwarding this doesn't seem to happen at all.

Is this just normal?? As the motor is going backwards and needs slightly more power or is this a problem that needs to be fixed?

I'm sure others will chime in but I really don't think this is an issue worth worrying about now, in time perhaps. As long as the tape rewinds evenly and plays to accurate tape speed it's not an issue worth monkeying with.
