Akai GX-620 Servo Capstan won't run

Hi everyone, I hope someone can provide a little guidance here. I have read all of the threads on this issue for this Akai and similar GX models (and at Tapeheads.Net). Tape deck had been working perfectly a few months ago. When I turned it on the other day, it was still working, but had developed a hum, sounds like from the capstan motor, and more noticeable at the 7-1/2 ips setting. Also, the tape would slow down during playback, eventually coming to a stop. Now it doesn't 't spin at all and is silent. All other functions (FF, REW, displays, etc.) are behaving normally. Motor windings seemed to test okay and motor turns easily. I have changed the 3.5uF motor capacitor (C52) - still no spinning motor. My plan is to next change the transistor, TR13 on the Terminal PC Board. Any suggestions, advice, or guidance will be deeply appreciated. If transistor doesn't "do it," I guess the next stop is a repair shop with real and qualified diagnostic and repair technicians. This machine is in pristine condition, so I'm really hoping to get it up and running again. THANK YOU! Ken

So, happy to report that this deck is now working good as new! To recap solution (no pun intended):

1. Replaced 3.5uF motor capacitor (C52)
2. Replaced Transistor TR13
3. Replaced Diode Bridge D3 - THIS IS THE ONE THAT SOLVED IT!
