Actually I have a friend who has two 630D and one 630DB (with Dolby NR)… he is willing to help me make it work if something doesn't

I think I will get some nabs, but first I need just one simple empty reel. I didn't think it would be so difficult to find one. :tongue:

Oder your NAB hubs from TEAC. They still make them and they are relatively inexpensive. People do not realize that TEAC still makes them........ Dan

I have the same r2r, the GX630D. It works well for me but I suppose changing the transistors might make it sound even better. Congratulations on saving a nice deck!
