I have a Akai GXC-570d, it had been in storage for a few years.I plugged it in and when i turned it on the play buttons dont work and the motor runs continuously until you turn it off.I checked all the boards and could not find any shorts or poped caps.Any tips.

I'm assuming this is with a tape in place?
Belt and rollers are prone to age in these. Degraded or displaced belt = no play. Hardened or rotted pinch roller = no play. I don't know, but more info would be useful (e.g. does FF and REW work?). Good news is replacement belt and pinchies are available if they indeed have gone bad.

When you turn on the power you hear a motor running continuously and the sensi buttons dont light or or work.If you put a tape it it just runs, no music and buttons still do not respond
