Recently picked one of these up and have it working well, including the cool Invert-O-Matic. Installed new belts and it was properly lubricated. See the link below for a video. The question I was hoping to get answered here is that when using the Automatic Reverse function is it designed to stop after a single flip or continue to flip until it's stopped by the user? It would seem logical to stop at one iteration so you can play each side of the tape and then come to a stop. Mine will go on and on and on until I press stop. Obviously the Manual Reverse only works the single time. Any help appreciated.

Don't have any invert-o-matic deck, but I have GXC-730D auto reverse. When it operates in auto reverse mode, it plays forever, does not stop at all. But 730D has two auto reverse switch, first one is only for one direction, second one is for both direction, thus it plays 'till it's stop manually.

While not the same, it's good to know that a much later version behaves the same. Doesn't really make sense since it somewhat limits the convenience factor.
