Akai GXC-704d auto stop

Hey guys!
I recently serviced a akai gxc-704d tape deck. Problem is I can't get the auto-stop to work. The belt (that i think should turn the wheel) is hardly touching the auto-stop wheel. I cleaned of quite some grease when i serviced it, so I wonder if there should maybe be an O-ring or something on there!? Looked into the service manual but can't find any info on the auto-stop mechanism!

Any help appreciated!

Another problem accured now. The deck plays fine but when I was recording earlier today the right channel stopped working while recording, though only on record mode. Playback still is fine...
Any ideas?
