Not mine, no affiliation.

That tuna is pretty well regarded, wouldn't mind having it... Nah, it's not a good cosmetic match for the Kenny 600, will stumble upon a 600T one of these days ;)

Definitely below the radar. The tape with the glass&xtal heads are supposed to be a good deck as well. For those into cassettes . Fair price for the set.

That's a VERY fair price for the set. I'd love to have that tuner. Man, did I just write that?? I need another tuner (or cassette deck, or amp) like I need a hole in my head.

I hope an AK'er gets it.

there's one of those tuners on eBay now with 2 days to go currently at $10 for me personnally the tuner and cassette are throw away items and for the amp $150 seems high

just saw it as I had saved it in my watch wow! if radio was worth a damn to me I'm sure it's a good tuner but to each his own. I'll just have to be on the lookout just to resell it though. Personally I just don't get radio. Never did, even back when i got my first stereo when I went off to college in 77 it was a yamaha integrated amp, technics turntable, and polk monitor 5's

Ah, now those auction numbers are going where they should. Radio has always been a huge part of my system going back to the beginning as a little tyke. (As I listen to NPR news instead of the "personalities" on TV fighting for camera time, and losing touch with what's really important.)

This tuner doesn't get the respect I believe it should......but that's just me. :D

the seller had the matching amp and it went for $560 a very good day on ebay indeed looks like it was a bidding war between two people on both then someone swooped in on both at the last minute

Damn! I shoulda snagged the set on CL. At least the second time the set was listed, too. :stupid:

That Akai set on eBay was mine. I didn't say anything while the listing was active, of course. A couple weeks ago, on a lark, I looked up my gear and saw an amp like mine that had sold for over $800. As much as I liked the Akai set, the wheels immediately began turning. And honestly, when I decided to list them, I felt like I was selling out old friends. But I got over it...:scratch2:

The cool thing is that my wife needs some dental work done, to the tune of about a grand. God provides. :thmbsp:

Congrats! I wish I had known their value a few days ago. :tears: I'll bet that tuna sounded pretty good with the mods!

Yes, very good. Up to the level of a modified Kenwood KT-7500, if not a little better.
