Alec 604-8G Crossovers

The "30 ohm pot" is just a standard L-pad, except that you are only using a portion of it as a variable resistor. It can actually be an 8 or 16 ohm L-pad. Use terminals #1 and #2. (And most are actually about 40 ohms.)
 
Piezo tweeters, distortion personified. A 604 with the right diaphragm is only down 4 or 5 db at 20,000 HZ. Just crank up up your treble control one or two clicks.

I was wondering about this. Can you explain with more depth how this works? I've seen 60 ohm L-pads specified in some crossovers and cannot understand the mechanics involved here. Can you enlighten the ignorant (me)?

Quite true. But, which would be the "right" diaphragm? Just curious.
