It's a boat anchor until it will pass a clean signal, and i would expect it's many hundreds of dollars away from that condition, combined with no shipping the seller is playing to a pretty small crowd.

Qualified techs that can source the proper parts for that amp are getting difficult to find.

A total revision ( with the 150003 ON semi transistors, new resistors...) adds up to between 350-600 ( I know, i am having an overhall done on mine now and will post the final bill!!). As Terry D says, its not high high level electronics and parts are easy. I found the tech docs all over internet and gave them to my repair shop.
so I woudl say

600+500=1100
Seems good to me.

As for transport it would be worth it for me who lives in CA.
 
Good deal for someone, but I would not want a 1Y MC2300 due to fans on all the time. This was initially listed two nights ago without BIN and promptly pulled. I assumed someone made an offer.

I think its possible to make the mod for the fans to be thermo active like the later series.
I have yet to hear mine ( in the shop still...) but I remember I was amazed by the sound of the mc2300 a few years back and swore "one day I will have it..."
I hope mine will be new for under 500......( that the estimate)
