Alignment tool for discriminator bottom coil?

Anyone have a good source for alignment tools? I need to adjust the bottom coil on a Pioneer SX-939 and can't get to it from the bottom like I've been able to on the other tuners I've done so far. I have a set of tools I got from Amazon or eBay and there's one tool that almost works but the hex part is a little too small and won't turn the slug. I'm not sure if the tools are usually a standard size so could be the set I got is just not great quality but most of the other ones I see don't look like they'd be much better.

i bought every set that i saw on ebay and amazon(5 or 6 of them). i have a lot of dupes but i haven't been left hanging without the proper tool yet.

the Hozan set may work for you - they give the dimensions of the tools on the main site.

Thanks! I already ordered a different set that should be here tomorrow so I'll see if the one in there works. If not, I'll dig out the calipers. Having measurements for the tools is nice. None of the sets on ebay or Amazon seem to do that.

Every double core transformer I've seen used the same tool for adjustment top and bottom. So if you get a tool to fit the top, you can measure it and at least know the size for the bottom. The hex part needs to be on an extended skinny shaft. The Hozan D-16-2 has that configuration for the 2.6mm hex end.

I thought that would be the case. Thanks for confirming the hex sizes should be the same. On the tool I have, it seems the hex on the skinny end is smaller than the one on the other end that fits. Ebay junk tools are frustrating and it's surprising how hard it is to find a good quality alignment tool so thanks for the link.

The Hozan D-16-3 also has an extended shaft for the 3.1mm tool. You may have to cut the end off if it's too long though.
