Alita Battle Angel

i went and saw Alita battle angel and enjoyed it and was quite entertained. Takes place a few hundred years later and based around robotic technology. It’s based on a Japanese anime from the early 90s which I didn’t see but will watch soon to compare. If you like 3d movies this one I believe was made for it.

I'm glad you liked Alita BA. I want to see it too, but I wasn't sure if it was 3D only? If so, I'll have to skip it. The last 3D movie I saw made me sick the whole weekend.

It’s not 3d only. I’m like u I can’t really take 3d or imax for a long period of time. I saw it as a standard movie and it was great.

I went to the 3D version, and didn't find it overly obtrusive. YMMV of course. I think 3D is the way the cinematographer wanted it shown. It uses more of his technological advances. It's still "cartoonish" a bit to my eyes. Story was pretty simplified, I thought. There were some very clever touches. I was entertained, so I give it a two popcorn tub rating. :lurk::lurk:I'm just making this up. I call some movies "good popcorn movies". Maybe they aren't Oscar worthy, but I still enjoyed them. Tom Cruise's "Mummy" was a one popcorn tub movie. "Pacific Rim" was a three. "Pacific Rim Uprising" didn't make the cut for me. I think three is as high as I go for popcorn movies.
