all you Sansui fans

A Sansui TU-717, an AX-7, just let the R-700 reverb go a few months ago, two AU-2317s, and there's gotta be more around here...

That seems to be the general consensus around here but my Denon 3805 sounds great and is far from bpc. It holds it's own against anything else I own.
 
I'm not really qualified to post here I guess. I'm a music lover rather than a brand lover, and I only have one item of Sansui gear. I bought an AU D11 2 for £132, which is just ridiculously cheap considering the sound quality of this beast.

This must be one of the most underrated amps ever. Sure, the 719/919 etc have the bulletproof build quality, but the D11 2 is pretty well made, and the sound....well....dynamics, clarity, warmth, power, delicacy, control, detail...it's truly awesome.

I feel fortunate to own it, as it has enhanced my lifelong love affair with music. :music:

Always enjoyed Sansui items.


I use my 9090 daily.

It's been serviced & upgraded (170 Watts RMS).


I will never sell my 9090.


The biggest reason why is due to the way it sounds.
 
Waiting on my latest Sansui a AU-7700 I got this amp because I think it falls well under the radar. People mention the series just before like the AU-9500 and the one after like the AU-717 I would like to know how it compares to them? I just love the looks and I know it will sound Great its a Sansui.

Ron, how does the SE-9 work? I dig those motorized levers but I've never seen one before.
 
all it functions work by its built in computer it has 4 built in EQ settings and if you put it into Analyze mode and plug in a powered mike it will send out pink noise and analyze the sound and set the sliders by it self for a flat response here is a picture.

Supermanu you are more than qualified to post here; you love music. However it seems to me that you have fallen in love with a particular model of Sansui. This thread is revealing the spread of affection for the different models of this brand.
 
Man, there is just NO Sansui gear round' here! (I mean my town).

I have a horrible (horrible) Sansui 5-disc-changer, just awful. But it's pretty new, I have been trying to find something "vintage" to call my own....

Hah, I remember my first CD player was BPC Sansui CD player (1996). Gawd, I hated that remote.

I wanted to keep my SE-99 (from the ambitious BPC era), but I kept losing track of the light pen for it. Now I'm happy to have gotten rid of it, although I miss that purty spectrum analyzer look.

I have a Sui quad receiver and four of the lattice speaker. Don't even know the model numbers, the speakers weigh a ton, are built like brick sh!t houses and the combo works amazing! The sound is just stunning, so sweet and musicle. Now if I could just figure out how to use the output of the receiver and hook it up to my 32 channel mixer, 6ooo watts and two Earthquakes and the mid tops and VOTT A7.......:smoke:
 
Have had my QRX-7500 for over thirty years,bought it new in Japan and will not give it up,still blasting those 4 SP-2500X's though the house.

LMAO, thats what I was thinking. Not much of a bragging point with clipping your amp enough to blow up some Bloze. But I bet it really sounded good up until they blew.:thmbsp:

Just bought these to start my vintage journey, they sound good on a crap receiver, but I need to drive them with something better. Thinking of Hitachi because of the bang for the buck. Any recommendations? I bought them for $125.

Grew up listening to KSHE 95 as a youth. Lived in Cahokia IL. Still have a KSHE cloth jacket patch that's never been used. Also a KSHE pig key fob, and framed and KADI postcards in the mancave.
