In a local consignment shop, I found some vintage gear. An Allied 498 receiver, and a pair of Acoustiflex 15" 4 way speakers. Figured I'd post it up here, and see if anybody wants it. The grills are in good shape, the middle of the tweeter is pushed in on the one I took the grill off.20170807_161359.jpg

$83 for the allied
$205 for the speakers

Hello dB happy,

I am interested in the allied, is it fully working? Can you ship it to Cincinnati, OH?

Thanks, Pinecroft

My brother is literally at that place right now asking me if the receiver is worth getting. He sent me a photo, I did a google search, and I see the photo posted here is the SAME one.
Note: it is now "50% off"

Also the exact same BPC is still on top of it. Funny

It's on the cover of the 1971 Allied Radio Shack catalog. Top of the line that year, built by pioneer. Wish I were there!
Best!

Did your brother get it? If he did, let us know how he likes it!
