Allied Knight 83-YX-797 vs Y-786

I have an Allied Knight 83-YX-797 that I am currently working on restoring. I found an Allied knight Y-786 for sale earlier and was wondering if anyone knew what the differences between these were. The only differences I see are the faceplate and knobs are different styles. Otherwise it is the same shape, seems to have the same inputs, same tubes, same shape, same knob configuration and functions, and same output. I also know both are tube amp kits from the late 1950's. Any help on the differences would be much appreciated.

I believe Allied did update model numbers a few times on some things simply by changing the faceplate.
