Allison Acoustics drivers

Hello all

I demod a pair of Allison CD-9s today, and was absolutely blown away by them. Unfortunately, I heard a bit of distortion (maybe rub between the voice coil and the Magnet?) in one of the mid drivers (it sounded staticy). Given their odd shape and design, I assumed those things are unobtainium, but maybe I'm wrong.

So, does anyone have any leads on those funky drivers? I'd truly love to buy these speakers, but those mid drivers scare me a little.

I'd check here, to see if they could/would repair the existing driver.

I’ve had a couple of the Allison mids apart and have had good luck getting them to sing again!

Hi all. This is the most recent thread on Allison speakers I could find so hoping it’s ok to ask a question here.

Does anyone know how the newer version of the Allison Four compares to the original (8” v 10” woofer)? Is there much difference in sq or placement?

Hoping to pick up a pair some time.
