Allo DigiOne Signature vs. SoTM sMS-200 and 200 Ultra

Anybody have any idea how these two compare? I doubt I'll be playing much ultra high resolution or DSD so not worried much about limitations of S/PDIF. I'm only just recently coming around to the idea that digital sources matter, but I'm still not sure how much. Can a $350 DigiOne approach the performance of a $1500 dedicated unit like the SoTM sMS-200 Ultra? How about other devices like a MicroRendu and so forth?

Thanks in advance.

Hans Beekhausen has reviewed the SOtM, Sonore and the DigiOne not as a group test but individually I believe, you can search his name on youtube for all his reviews, He is smitten with the SOtM 200Ultra the non NEO version, and rightly so. He has done a review of the new NEO version to.

Thanks for the reply. Do you trust Hans? I'm not sure I do because I find him to lack any semblance of a healthy skepticism of anything. He seems to believe in every audiophile product claim there is. I'll check out his reviews tho. Have you hesrd any of these personally?

He is an Independent reviewer with no axe to grind, or loyalty to any company it seems, to me anyhow. I bought a 200 Ultra on the strength of his review and it is truly superb. Have not heard
the Sonore or DigiOne.

I have both a battery powered Allo DigiOne (non signature) and an ultraRendu with Uptone LPS-1 power supply.

The uR is clearly the more transparent of the two. But, the RPi platform does provide an incredible value ($250 vs $1250 including aftermarket Ghent Audio DC cables).
