Wow, great restoration! I'd like to hear some 19s some day, even though my own speakers are inspired by them.

Recycled denim batt insulation. @Galaxie65 says GPA recommends it to replace the batt--IMHO the real bonus is that you don't have to worry about touching it without gloves.

Ultra-touch Denim Insulation--Home depot has a bulk box price of 6 rolls--unfortunately it seems like 7 would be the perfect number. I have one more on the way.

I'm using that in my 614-tallboy build (414z / 808-8b / 32C)

I read thru the whole thread twice.

When i bought my set of 19’s one had a
416 8c , the other had the 416 8b .
Got a slight discount because of that.
I found another 416 8b , original cone , nice condition. Installed it and could hear No difference . I did a full recap , built risers . I found a set of foams on ebay , they make a difference for the better. The replacement foam came out of Canada . Great speakers !
