Altec 604c crossovers?

That reminds me, I've been meaning to ask, did anyone save the information from Jeff Markwart's earthlink page? Apparently the ISP lost his info there and it's gone, some but not all of it is on the GPA page. I, unfortunately, only saved a link to the info I needed rather than the actual info and I emailed Jeff and he didn't have it backed up

Funny this pops up now; I just ordered the components to build a new set of N-1500-A crossovers for my 604Es. These will include the MF EQ circuit that Markwart describes here: https://greatplainsaudio.com/gpa-vintage-altec-ezine/altec-lansing-604e-super-duplex/.

My 604s are housed in some beautiful Barzilay cabinets that are nowhere near 9 cubic feet--they're probably more like 5.8. Honestly, the bass is not that bad, but they do need a little boost on the bass knob at lower volumes. They've got to be pretty good down to 50hz and unless I'm listening to pipe organ music or something, I'm not missing much. The cabinets are so beautiful that I'll probably leave them be--if I want to experiment with something bigger I'd probably buy a new set of GPA 604s to put in the big boxes and let these be more of a museum piece.

Would love to hear your experience with the new crossovers.

One of my 604c's came in a barzilay, and I was fairly happy with them in the EV cabs, thinking I wasn't missing that much bass. But the benefits from going to a larger cabinet were not small and were immediately apparent , even without crossover upgrade.. Found that lower fulllness that I hadn't known I was missing

I'm kind of limited in that these are prominently displayed in my late 1940s living room and they just look right in here. Big Onkens would get them banished to the basement.
