Today I found a pair of Altec Lansing 105 bookshelf speakers. Does anyone have any info on these or have an idea of their value. The look really well made.

Thanks in advance.

If my memory serves me correctly these are from the Spark-o-Matic era of Altec circa 1988 (give or take a couple of years). They look in extremely nice condition. How do they sound?

That's what I was trying to determine last night, too. From the Sparkomatic era or not... Not their best offerings by far but I guess decent as they were trying to compete more mainstream at that time. I've heard the larger towers of that era and they weren't too bad at all.

Thanks for the info. A far as sound, they aren't too bad the highs are a little brittle but the bass is really tight and plays much lower than I would have expected. They won't be keepers but for the $3 I paid they where fun to experience.
