Altec Lansing ID help please

I'm interested in a pair of Altec Lansing speakers that are available locally but the seller and I don't know which model they are. I have a few photos they provided and also the measurements.

Cabinets measure 22.75" tall, 14.5" wide, 12" deep , Woofer is 9" , Mid is 3.5", Tweeter is 2.5" these are all measurements provided by seller.

There is no model number to be found according to seller. The writing on the back only says made in the USA, Oklahoma City, OK. They appear to be in very good condition.

What little info I could find online and here suggests that the ones made in OK City, OK are good speakers. Are these a desirable speaker... especially for one of my 70's receivers ? Thanks.

Altec experts will weigh in here, but those look like later model speakers built long after the era of high quality Altec offerings, IMO. The spring connectors are the 1st clue, and lack of a model name or number also add to the issue. That doesn't mean they won't sound good, but they're not from the era of 70s equipment.
 
I agree with alteclipsch. Altec was not at the top of its game by the time these were made, and their small speakers were never really their thing. There are Altec enthusiasts who abhor any but the classic speakers so will condemn these out of hand, but it makes no sense to reject a speaker without hearing it, and tastes differ.
You may love them, and if you do, they are good speakers. But they are not collectible like the big Altecs, and you shouldn't pay much for them - certainly were you to try to sell them, you wouldn't get a whole lot for them.
 
Thanks everyone for your replies and the speaker chart. I think they are asking too much so still debating whether it's worth an hour drive each way to listen to them.
 
Asking too much + hour drive each way = not worth it. That would probably be so even if the speakers were known to be better than average, but that doesn't appear to be the case here. The world is full of decent speakers, and it might be better to wait for something you know you want.
