Altec Lansing Santana 420a Woofers...what have I got?

I’m seeking information about these drivers pulled from a trashed set of Altec Santana cabinets I picked up free on FB Marketplace. The appear to have been reconed in 1998. I connected them to a receiver, and they sound great, so whoever did the recone job did it right. The dust caps might be replacements too, because I think the original ones were silver. The cones both have serial numbers, so they might be genuine Altec replacements. Are these quality woofers? What can I do with them?
The original tweeters had been replaced with some Realistic bullet tweeters, and the baffle screws were barely long enough to hold them in.
I decided to keep the drivers and trash the cabinets. If any AK members in northern Illinois want the cabinets, come and get them!

A pair of Altec 420A driver frames that have been re-coned with non-Altec parts.

i doubt the woofers play smoothly up to anywhere near where those tweeters want to be crossed over.

No big loss. The Santana was a joke of a speaker to begin with.

How can you be sure they're not Altec parts? Granted, they aren't 420a cones, but they have this stamped on the cone:

Contact Great Plains Audio,
they will tell you if it is their cone.
If it aint, then I feel that it would be sub-par.

By looking at them.

A period correct replacement(or original) 416/515 cone would bear the number 21184, there were several runs with suffixes out to -8.

A later Altec manufactured replacement 416/515 cone would bear the number 035400

A GPA cone would have an 8 or 10 digit number preceded by the letters "GPA".

I would also add that the re-cone work was on par with the parts used, low quality. The installation of those dust caps is laughable. A speaker tech worth his salt shows his pride in his work on every job.
