Altec N501-8A Crossover ID please

I need help in identifying the year these were made and if these caps need replacing. They were connected to speakers which are in a home made cabinet consisting of 2ea. 15" JBL 130-B speakers (1950's)and one 375 horn driver with potato masher front, in each cabinet. When I hooked these up, the bass was extremely weak. Could this be due to bad Capacitors?

Probably not. Have you measured the impedance of the two woofers? Are they wired in series or parallel? If you have a loose woofer handy, connect to the crossover's output and see what kind of sound is produced.
 
BTW, I did some research and evidently the older crossover is roughly from 1971 and the later one from about 75'.

Yes I measured the impedance of the 4 total woofers, actually a friend did. They all have good readings. I just can't get much of a bass out of them. A friend suggested that perhaps the cabinet wasn't sonically thought out. If that makes sense? maybe I'm not describing it well. And I thought it may be old and tired caps...
