Altec Vintage VOTT Speaker Cabinets - $100 (Broomfield)
I have 3 Voice of the Theater speaker cabinets available. Must take all. $100 each or best offer... Must be able to pay cash and load - these are big. These were pulled from a community theater in the area where they were used for many years. They do have some wear, but they are solid. They are on risers which have casters on the bottom for easy placement. Please email or text 3o3-803

Someone has a set on Milwaukee CL as well. $100/set I believe. $100 each seems excessive unless they're gorgeous.

If they ever popup here in my area I'd have no problem paying 100 bucks apiece for them. Saves me the time in construction and material cost, not to mention the headaches in reproducing them. Hell, just the dang grills are going for 100 dollars a pair and that is in OK shape.

The set here in Milwaukee are down to $50.

I was thinking about seeing as I have an extra pair of 811 with drivers and set of woofers....

just need a set of crossovers..

hmmm

They come in handy! They're a great place to store one's collection of Altec drivers and horns... yeah... that's what I am going to start tellin' Mrs. H... ;-)

Are you sure you can't take 'em...?

In case you need it, there's a thread around here where Zilch custom designed a crossover for the Altec drivers that had HF compensation built in to account for the rolloff of the horn drivers above 10 KHz. Another AKer currently has those crossovers since Redboy moved on to a different system. I only know all this because I'm setting up a rig myself, but my drivers are not Altec and they are supposed to extend to 20 KHz so those crossovers wouldn't work for them. I ended up building some straight 12 db 809-8A clones.

EDIT: Unless you're talking about an active crossover and biamping...in which case ignore all that. I decided to wait a bit on that and try an outboard passive xover first.

Geez, my friend Chris in Co. Springs might be interested or pick them up for me. I have everything to load them. Thanks for the link.
