Beware that the woofers are likely trashed from being run hard without a high pass filter on them. The good news is that the woofers are re-buildable and retain value even if broken.

They would take a bit of tweaking to get to hifi standards as they were really designed for high SPL sound reinforcement. But, i'm sure they're "tweakable".

Whew, I'm going to have to pass. I already have twice as many sets of speakers as I do systems, most vintage and rebuilt.

And my back - I don't want to moving those things around, LOL.

while looking for information on these tonight , i found this thread. I bought them about 3 this afternoon. They still sound good, but i didnt have the previous owner turn them up too loud, he says they crackel when they are turned up, i have not looked at the woofers yet, any ideas what might make them distort at higher levels? They are huge, but when previous owner put some music on, i was surprised at how good they sound.

I seen a thread on a pair of these a few months back. To me they look like a Mega-14 and cool as hell. Had they been in my sights I would have been all over them, Good deal...
