"These go to 11"
I have had recent thoughts of a receiver an old boss of mine had in the early eighties...82'-84ish.
It was a receiver that was made during the transition from analog tuners to digital and had both the tuner dial with the pointer as well as the digital display like the pioneer sx-3900 and others. The difference in what I remember is that as the tuner pointer traveled, so did the digital display; in other words, the digital display was under the tuning pointer and moved with it as stations were dialed in and displaying the digital readout. I thought it was a sony or sansui but have never been able to find any pics of what I "think" I remember. Have I created this in my mind, or does it really exist?
