Last year i dug out my old sony hifi equipment and set it up,with my nice sonab speakers and enjoyed it.

Then my amp blew up and so i had to find a new one, lots of research and fun found me a nice yamaha cr-620. But then i thought, hmm some nice period speakers would be nice, so i bougt some kef prototypes, oh and a nice yamaha cd player to go with the new amp.

Then i though, hmm, not got a tt. Father in law donates an old technics but its not so good so after a lot of research and fun searching i land a sansui sr-222 mk2.

Nice. All under control.

Then i thought, hmm, need a tape deck, so bought 2 ! Well one was a steal.

Then i thought, hey I can set up a system in my front room, nice little vintage toshiba receiver acquired, of course it needed speakers, pair of little mission 760i.

Then i was mooching about and came accross monsted shelfbender receivers, hmm, i fancy one of them i thought and landed a jvc jr-s600 (justified as a birthday present !) which is being given to me tomorrow.

So i thought, might need some new speakers.....my friend donated some nice celestion 5's and i have just bid on some 3 way speakers on ebay which are another steal....just to see how they sound.......

Am i obsessed ? And does it even matter ???? :scratch2:

Ermmm....you need to grab some tube gear now, maybe just a tuner, pre-amp, and an amp! Just to see how THEY sound...

Hi, it was known as burtonwood and its just up the road from me. Sadly its mostly been developed now, there is a small museum i keep intending to visit.

My uncle was also posted there and met my aunt, they moved back to south carolina.
 
STAY the H3ll AWAY from cute little old bakelite radios in antique shops & yard sales, if you know what's good for you.... Damthings multiply worse than Rabbits... One leads to two, two lead to A BUNCH... Next thing you know, there's one sittin' on EVERY horizontal space in yr abode... I told myself I could "Stop", too... THAT was a laugh...
