Great experience having Andy Kim at Needle Clinic upgrade and refurbish my Ortophon Quintet after a catastrophic breakage. He is the real deal and a true craftsman. He prescribed that a new boron cantilever and microridge stylus be installed. He also recommended that it be denuded (cartridge body removed) and have the micro wires protected. After doing some research, I found that he is one of the top small shop craftsman and he is guaranteed to personally work on your cartridge. No two month turnaround times. He has a dedication to value and fidelity and many years of experience.
I sent my cartridge to him and had it back in under a week. The work was done within the first day of him receiving it. His communication is excellent. The results were astounding. It is certainly an upgrade that would have cost many times the retipping cost to purchase one off the shelf from Ortophon. I can't stop listening to it! Highly recommended.
