Can someone please tell me how I can get Ultra HD on my Amazon Music Unlimited subscription. I subscribed for $8.99/month, but the maximum audio quality was only HD -- 16/44.1 res. I called Amazon but no one there knows anything about this service, so I canceled the subscription. On the Amazon Music website, it says plainly that an Unlimited subscription give you access to hi re up 24/192 -- which Amazon calls Ultra HD. Thanks in advance.

Not all of Amazon HD Music is Ultra. most of it is HD. You have to put HD Ultra in the Amazon Music's search engine to find it. It is mostly organized into playlists. Frankly Apple Music's lossless, and Dolby Atmos completely blows Amazon out of the water. But with Apple there is the ecosystem thing. It all depends on who you get at Amazon customer support if you are going to get any help. That is one thing about Apple Support when you call it screens you in advance why you are calling and you get sent to someone who knows about what you are calling about. If you are using wireless earphones make sure they support the higher density audio files, not all of them do. I use FiiO BTR5, and BTR7 Bluetooth DAC/Amps they support 32Bit / 384kHz.

OK I will attempt to help you. I have been using Amazon music for over a year now and do not seem to have too many problems. that being said, I will assume you downloaded the app for Amazon music, and you have it on your screen. BTW if you have amazon prime you get amazon music included in that price. The ultra-HD has to be set up from the selection list when you set up the app. I too pay 8.99 per month for the music. The important thing to remember is that if you are using a usb dac it will only permit the highest bit rate that the dac is capable of producing. In my case I use a Schiit Modi 3 that is capable of producing 24/192 output. Amazon app lets you know what you are capable of producing and will show that on the screen when you select the song.
