Hey everyone, first post here. i've been lurking for a while.I am getting B&W 802D speakers later this week.I have a C2200 and MC2102 paired with Klipsch Belles and i like to listen to it loud.I know the MC2102 won't be enough. My budget allows the purchase of another MC2102 to be bridged or a MC402. What do you guys think?
thanks,
Ed

With the drop in efficiency going from the Belles to the B&Ws, I'd suggest you go for the 402, assuming you're considering running it instead of the 2102. That's going to be a rather large efficiency difference, IMHO. I've not had direct experience with bi-amping via a 402/2102 setup with any speakers, however but this might work ok but I'd certainly want to try it before I purchased, if possible.

How loud you expect from any of the combos you've proposed would be determined by the size of your room and the efficiency of the speakers. We still do not know that first variable.

Cheers,

David

Thanks David, the room size is 20X20 and during classical music passages the MC2102 meters read 100.
thanks,
Ed

My system started with a MC402. I then added the C2200 later. This combo will drive any speaker with ease and musicality up the yingyang.
