Amp Recommendations

Hi all - first time poster here hoping you all can help me choose an amp for my music room.

I have a Thorens TD 160 turntable with a Signet 3EA cartridge (that I would use almost exclusively) and two Canton CT-800 speakers. I was looking to pick up a Marantz 2270 on Craigslist but balked after reading it doesn't handle 4ohm speakers well, and I also worried it may be underpowered for the 100w speakers. Seems the Cantons enjoy as much power as you can pump into them.

I'd prefer to have something tube-driven but I'm open to solid state options also, obviously. Budget around $1000 but that is flexible as well.

I'm biased, have Rogue Sphinx V1 amp does 200wpc@4 ohms. Plenty of power for your cantons. I drive a 4 ohm load on mine. Has nice MM phono pre. How about a hybrid tube/SS integrated. Rogue, Peachtree make hybrids. They should be in your budget, used, or stretch and buy new.

I'm not necessarily tied to Marantz, it was more driven by the fact that one was available in my area and it seemed to have a favorable following online. The aesthetics do match the Thorens turntable which for some inexplicable reason means something to me. I do prefer vintage all else equal. I'd also prefer an integrated amp for the sake of simplicity.

The Rogue Sphinx V2 is claimed to have upgraded phono pre, etc. and would be current new alternative. Made in USA.
I have seen that other manufacturers are starting to make tube hybrids.
