Ampex FR-100 recorder system

I come across the Ampex FR-100 recorder system. Any one has knowledge about this machine. It has 4 tube preamp units and power has four 6550 tubes.
It is a large system. Does it worth to get for using in audio? Thanking in advance for your input.

This may be an instrumentation recorder, not audio. 6550s were used in speed control servo amplifiers for their video recorders - this may be the same.
