Amplifier repair shop for Hafler 9505 near Chicago

I have a Hafler 9505 that has a turn off thump. I've taken it to a few shops and none of them have been able to fix it. Wondering if anyone here has a specific suggestion for a repair shop or tech that could fix this amp. For whatever reason the places I've taken it too claim to be able to work on any amp, but not this one I guess? Don't know why. Places I've tried so far are Chicago Fret works, Electronic engineers, and Anthony's Electronic Services.

If you look at the manual on page 12 it shows a soft turn on/off system block in the block diagram. The thumping is a new issue. It used to be silent.
 
If the current limiter is not doing its job. The power switch contacts will get pitted. This could be causing the thump or pop.
 
Kasper at Stereo Rehab should be able to help you. But you have to bring the amp to his shop at 5800 N. Western in Chicago when he’s open, which is only Friday and Saturday between noon and 8pm. He’ll examine it in front of you and tell you what it needs. He’s really good, but you have to be willing to accept his rules about how he does business. He doesn’t work on modified gear, but it sounds like your amp is just broken, and not modified.
