An Open Letter Regarding AK Member Sparky RIP

I didn't know Sparky, but I hope his end was peaceful, he'll live on in the memories of those who knew him.

Well said, thanks for posting, and thanks Pio1980 for caring enough to find out what happened.

RIP Sparky.

Yes, Sparky rubbed a few the wrong way. I have to admit, I was one of those few. I did have to acknowledge his passion, and knowledge, all the while.

His passing does cause me to acknowledge how I can take myself way too seriously. The trick for me now, with Sparky's help, is to remember this now, instead of seeing it after the fact.

Thank you Sparky

RIP

RIP Mr. Sparky, there but for the grace of God goes...all of us.

Thanks Mr. Pig, and thanks Pio1980. You are both gentlemen of the highest order. God bless Sparky.

Thank you, Mr. Pig & Pio1980. RIP, Sparky!

Thanks for posting that, our always eloquent pig. And thanks to Pio 1980 for taking the time to find out what happened. The lesson to be learned from this is to just accept people for who they are, and never stop forgiving. RIP, Sparky.

Echoing the above, can't say it better. Hope that we can all say, and act accordingly, that we are friends here at our little AK oasis. We are guests at Grumpy's place and hope we keep it in great condition and in better spirits each time we visit.

RIP -

Didn't know the man, but mourn his passing -

Made me recall this from the depths of HS English -

John Donne -

"All mankind is of one author, and is one volume; when one man dies, one chapter is not torn out of the book, but translated into a better language; and every chapter must be so translated...As therefore the bell that rings to a sermon, calls not upon the preacher only, but upon the congregation to come: so this bell calls us all: but how much more me, who am brought so near the door by this sickness....No man is an island, entire of itself...any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind; and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee."

Sorry to hear this sad news. Sparky PM'd me last November and we had a nice discussion about Audio Research tube gear. RIP Sparky.

One of our fellow AKers uses one of my favorite phrases as a tag line "Be the person your dog thinks you are" a tenant I try to live by.

RIP Sparky

And a thoughtful remembrance to the late great Zilch, the fruits of whose contributions here I enjoy daily. Econowaves live on.

RIP Sparky. And kudos to Pio for taking the time to find out and such an elegant, graceful and memorable eulogy Mr.Pig. Thank you both.
