Acoustic Sounds is hosting a 4 day convention in Salina KS for the inaugural Vinyl Summit. Consists of plant tours, vinyl shops, meet and greets, food and Jazz and Blues concerts each night. I'm planning on going, its a 6 hr drive, and was wondering if anyone else from AK is planning on attending?

Concert tickets purchased and hotel booked. Looking forward to this, wife even volunteered to come with me and hang out with a bunch of vinyl nerds. She did some research on the artists performing and I guess the Blues night (Friday) included performances by Muddy Waters' son, Mud Morganfield. Too bad I'm not sticking around for day 3's lineup with Jimmie Vaughn.

Yup! I'm going this year, but just doing Saturday/Sunday.
You going to the concert at the Stiefel Theater? Record fair starts on Sat. thru Sun at the Homewood Hilton. Tried to stay there but was all booked up.

Yessir! Been a fan of all three of the headliners for a while and have wanted to see the QRP pressing operation almost as long. Shame we're going to miss each other, but maybe another time!

That'd be a blast to attend, but a bit of a drive from ol' Detroit. Flights from DTW to ICT (Wichita) are $400 plus the cost of lodging, car rental, food...

Oh, and I wasn't sure if the $100 tickets they have on their web site are for all four days or if it's $100/day.

That's like a pair of bookshelf speakers!!

I'd love to go, but gotta pass.

$100 each day at the Church (2-days), $80 the third day at the Steiffel theater (with Jimmie Vaughn).

Got my free tour scheduled for the pressing plant. Hoping they offer some deals on the AP presses after...HAHA. Looking forward to calling out Fremer at the meet-n-greet, just kidding. Should be fun. Wife's coming though I warned her already it's going to be a bunch of old record nerds, she's in. If any AK'ers are there look for either the Tiger Records (my local) or Big Star t-shirted dude (me). Hoping to meet someone from here.
