The voting is closed, and the results have been tabulated. Thank you to everyone who voted. The race was very close, again this year. The winning margin was two votes, and third place was one behind the runner-up.
The winner of the 2007 Audiokarma Member of the Year is Andrew Townley, otherwise known as our own jaymanaa.
Here are a few comments about this fine gentleman:
--Jaymanaa has taken me under his wing and is trying to teach me how to be a tube tech. Which is kind of like teaching a mule to tap-dance, but he's certainly brave and dedicated for trying, and has shown me many, many kindnesses in the process.
--I think that he's really captured the essence of what AK is about. Through his many projects, and obvious love of this hobby of ours, I've learned more from his work than I ever could have on my own. His contributions have motivated me to learn how to build things I've never thought I'd be able to.
--Great guy I'd like to meet someday.
--Jay is the most giving & unselfish person AK could hope to have as a member.
--He is, at least to me, what AK is and should always be.
Jay, on behalf of Audiokarma and its members, I congratulate you on this singular honour. You have my personal congratulations, as well. You are most deserving of this recognition for all you have brought to AK. I hope that you can make it to the Fest, so that I can shake your hand, and present you with your award.
