Another C-70 channel dropout issue

my drop out only occurs in the right channel....unless I have my headphones on backwards.....then its the left channel !

Clean the switch. There are 4 sliders within the switch. One of them is most likely not making very good contact.
 
Stumbled across this just now.
My C-50 started dropping out occasionally in one channel as well, with the tone control activated
Same issue?

SW402 (black X) would be the prime suspect.

You have to desolder the switch and then open and disassemble the internal parts. There are threads on here that show the intricacies of this procedure. It's not for the faint of heart if you don't like working with a lot of small pieces. You could try spraying some contact cleaner in there, but you're not going to get it spread around evenly enough to do the job. I like to use 2000 grit sandpaper on the contacts to get them shiny again and then apply a small amount of cleaner/lube at that point before re-assembling it.
