March 7, 1981. Not to mention the 7 year we dated before getting married. So today is our 32nd anniversary of wedded bliss. We'll keep it pretty low key, and do what we have done for the past 6 or 7 years.
We'll take off about 9 this morning and drive over to the coast - Santa Cruz, to be exact. We'll stop and check in the same mediocre motel we always stay at. Hopefully our favorite room (the one with the little balcony overlooking Ocean Street) will be available. We'll take a quick run down past the boardwalk, and go to a small little out-of-the-way beach and look at the tide pools. Then, off to Soquel Street and all of the antique shops. Stop at this little shop for a bite for lunch, then into a corner cigar store for a smoke for later, then back to the antiques.
After a day of shopping, it's back to the motel. We'll take a couple bottles of wine and sit on the balcony for a bit and get tuned up a little. The motel sits in between a Chinese restaurant and a Thai restaurant, so we can just walk to dinner. After that, back to the balcony so wifey can smoke her once-a-year cigar (long story) and a bit more wine.
Up whenever we feel like it in the morning, stop for breakfast, then head back home.
Ain't like great?:thmbsp:
