Another diy RCM

I've had my diy RCM done for quite some time now so i guess i will post pictures. I have had very good results, and it did'nt cost hardly anything. I think i have probably twenty dollars invested in it. I had the platter sitting on top of the cabinet, but it killed my back to lean over and clean records so i added a top shelf to it now i can stand and be comfortable. It's not much to look at, but it gets the job done.

I like it.

I have been thinking of doing something similar, but mounting the vac head on a pivot.

Do you find any issues with yours? (I could be wrong, but from the pics yours looks handheld)

Thanks
Danny.

Thanks, The vac is hand held. My plan was to use some kind of pivot for the vac, but i haven't got that far yet. Later on i'd also like to try and put a motor on the platter, but really it works good the way it is.

i have half of mine done... the motor i chose from much research and suggestion is that of one from an electric ice cream maker. low rpm, high torque. it even sounds like a vpi machine ...lol i found mine at the local salvation army for 3 dollars and just gutted away. pretty easy to add on as well...

Another great mind! That's exactly what I've got for mine. When it's running it sounds like it could power a rock crusher. I'm not working on it, as I need to get a decent platter. I suppose I'll have to start my thrift store patrols.

Best Regards,
