Another m-4 question???

UPDATE I told you at the beginning that this Amp was dropped. Well I found so far cracked predrive board lots of cracked solder joints and a fried resistor in the drive board. This is all on the left side. Now on to the right side. When I disconnected the power from the predrive boards the relays kicked in.:thmbsp: I just might be able to pull this off. Will have to order some stuff so that will set me back a week.

This is what happens when you drop them. The chassis took a big whack. Put a big dent in it and bent the brackets that hold the transformer in place. This is why in one of my other picture's you could see the transformer was crooked. Not shure if you can see in the picture's but one of the side panels have a big dent and gouge in it. So please don't drop them no more.:D

Looks like it fell off a shelf onto something else.

What ever happened it caused a lot of damage. But I think it will live. :scratch2: I just finished painting the transformer and it even has runs in it just like factory.:D

One thing its easyer to clean when its striped to the bare bones. The chassis is been straighten out the brackets for the transformer also. This is why you always need a hammer in your tool box. :D It's going back together now. You can see from the pictures everything is straight again.

Well it's been a while since i posted on this Amp that i think was dropped. But i am starting to make some progress on it. It's finally working thanks to all the help i had from Dave (Avionics) I started working on side panels. You will see from a couple of post earlier that they where destroyed in the fall. Big dents, gouges and major scratches. There was no way i could have saved the original finish. So i hammered out the dents sanded and filed all the edges. Filled the dents with body filler primed and spot puttyed all the scratches. With a final coat of primer. Ready for paint. Might give me a oppertunity to play with a different color. But what color?:scratch2:
