Another pre amp question

Got a Kenwood KR-7050 reciever 85 wpc. Could i use this as a pre amp, tuner and hook it up to my spec 4 power amp 125 wpc. ?? Granted the kenny has a bunch of power, but just was thinking about trying it? Do you think this would just be over kill our what?? The spk,s wil handle up to 350 wpc. so they say anyway. Bottem line is i don,t whant to screw up the spec 4. Thank,s for any info.:scratch2:

If it's all original, the bottom line is to have some preventive service done before you use it.

I don't know your amp, but if the above doesn't work: the 7050 probably has tape monitor/record outputs which can be used. Typically, these would bypass all the amp audio settings (such as volume, balance, etc.) and be a fairly straight line out option.

found some pictures of the device, there are no preamp out / amp in connections so you are SOL.
