Hello all - as the title indicates, I'm new to AK and in Seattle.

I'm in my mid-40s, so grew up with records. In the 80s I entered the digital realm and bought tons of CDs but always ran a turntable as well. Now, for partly sonic, partly nostalgic reasons I find myself buying a lot of vinyl again but I have much to learn regarding upgrading or tweaking my tt, an old Thorens TD 145 mkII.

Looking forward to tapping the collective AK brain trust.

Welcome to AK.
I don't know if this is of any interest to you, but the Pacific Northwest Audio Society is hosting a DIY Meet on Mercer Island on Saturday, September 26th.
