I have mentioned elsewhere that I am spending a few months traveling back and forth between the east and west coasts. I couldn't bear living without good music so I put together a decent home-away-from-home system with a MAC754 amp and a pair of IMF speakers. The only thing I was missing was a decent turntable. Having four TT's at home and not wanting to buy yet another that I would likely abandon in a few months, I decided to pack up my trusty old Dual 1009 and bring it with me. Fortunately it fit into my carry on bag and didn't get crushed in the overhead bin.

More importantly, it apparently did not look like an explosive device on the x-ray scanner.

Wow. I listen to vinyl all the time, just about every day that I'm home.

When I travel I stream files into headphones or into a portable Blu tooth speaker. You are dedicated.
 
I do not see anything obsessive about this. If I had a second home, you can bet that I would have an audio system there as well.

Hope you get as much enjoyment from this one as you do with the one you have at home.
