Our cable system has recently started carrying Antenna TV, MeTV and another network that shows old movie and TV shows. I have really enjoyed watching some of these shows that date from the time that I was a kid.

I like to set the DVR to record these and watch them at my convenience. Two of the recent shows that I have been enjoying are Highway Patrol and Route 66..

It is interesting to see actors that show up in these old shows before they were famous. I saw Leonard Nimoy on an episode of Highway Patrol, and Suzanne Pleshette on Route 66.

Anyone else enjoying these TV oldies?

DVR-ing the Rockford Files nightly. Once in a while will even watch Jethro do a little "cypherin".

We recently found MeTV on the cable system as well. I don't know if it's the same in your area, but it's a CBS side channel here.

Antenna TV is another one for sure. What I find funny is the commercials they show. They all seem to be geared towards senior citizens.:scratch2:

No cable here, so I watch a LOT of MeTV, Antenna TV, and THIS TV.

Great old shows - Peter Gunn, Route 66, Highway Patrol, and Sunday Night Noir are my favorites. Many good old movies, too.

Sat morning happened to tune across the NBC "Nonstop" sub-channel on 5.2, there was a program on "Beta Record" with an older tech fellow showing a young musician how to fix a Vox Wah Wah pedal, and showing o'scope waveforms. Maybe this kind of programming will inspire some youngsters to get into fixin' things, and appreciating how they work.

The older tech guy has a "GE Sound" pocket protector. :D

A few pics off the TV screen ...

Yep best deal around. Like I was showing someone on VK, my neighbor was throwing away a TV antenna. I grabbed and salvaged it, shortened the back end about a foot of the lowest frequency elements that were damaged and don't need them anyhow, put it up in the attic, and get over 70 OTA channels. Of course many don't interest me but there are good ones too.
