Anti-Skae on CEC turntable.

So a little while ago I picked up a White CEC BA-600 turntable. As it is my fourth turntable there wasn't really any rush to get it set up, but that time has come. I picked up a new AT-VM95E and installed it, but I'm not sure how to set the anti-skate.
I looked up the manual on VE, but no joy there as to setting the anti-skate, it just references that the A-S has been set at the factory for the preinstalled pick-up.
I noticed that the tone arm (and particularly the A-S mechanism) looked the same as the Realistic Lab 300, another CEC built machine, so I had a look at the manual for that deck and found this:

So it looks like, according to what is written, that depending on the cut of the stylus each notch on the post imparts different deg of anti-skate.
Does this makes sense, that having the weight in the same notch imparts a different amount of anti-skate to different stylus types?

The weight will apply the same force to the tonearm regardless of the stylus profile, but different stylus profiles will generate a different amount of skating force and will require a different amount of antiskating.

So if my understanding is correct, moving from conical, to elliptical, to Shibata, as the surface area exposed to contact with the vinyl is reduced, so is the amount of anti-skate force imparted by the position of the weight on the post.

No, the amount of force (or, to be more precise, of torque) applied by the antiskating weight remains the same since it's only determined by the mass of the weight and its position on the shaft. But the amount of skating force generated by friction of the stylus in the groove changes. Since the contact patch is much larger with complex stylus profiles, they require more antiskating at the same VTF.
