So sad...RIP Mr. Domino.

[DustyOldPile]

Farewell, Fats. You will be missed.

[tnsilver]

Thanks big guy for everything. RIP.

Gosh I hate those RIP threads but I do prefer
the ones that go naturally of old age like we all should.
Anyway, 2017 seems to had been merciful so far, especially
in comparison with 2016 that started bad with David Bowie and never
stopped taking it's heavy toll.

Long live rock & roll!

[onwardjames]

Quite a good run, I feel.

RIP big guy.

[MRL_Audio]

A good run indeed... sold over 100 million LP's in his lifetime. Incredible! In STL we have a local restaurant/bar/theater named after his signature song, Blueberry Hill. Great tribute to him. RIP.

We are diminished.
RIP

[boreas]

We are diminished.
RIP

Well, that's the thing about art and artists. Their work, and the effect it has on us, endures. Artists and their work will always be with us.

His music was a staple of the 50s & early 60s. I have most of his 45s and a few albums.

I was in NOLA in August and asked about his presence, but was told he hasn't appeared publically in several years. Sorry to see him go, but he won't have to walk anymore - - -
