Any Dual TT experts out there?

My dual 1009 has a problem... I pushed it to start , went through all the motions , drops on the record and shut off... it wont stay on... pulled it out and determined the little latch that is suppose to catch on that metal loop to keep the TT running must be rounded as the latch just slips off the loop... the metal latch itself is still in great shape ... so it has to be the loop it catches on.... is there anyway to fix this?
